It all started with the lashes...

A few trips to Brookes salon was all it took, and Chase and I ended up on a memorable first date.

After going to many appointments with my lash tech, Ashley, and my sister going to several appointments with Chase's sister, Brooke, we were set up! Ashley encouraged me to go on a date with Chase and the rest was history.

Our first date was to Top Golf and Loco Burro, where I embarrassed myself by trying to swing a golf club (just ask Chase) and we’ve been eating queso together ever since that day! I sat there and cheered Chase on for a few hours, and after he golfed (for me too), we left knowing that not only could I not golf, but that we were about to enter into something pretty special. Who would’ve thought we would end up where we are now!

I am so grateful to our friends and family who have encouraged us and prayed over us during our season of dating and our season of engagement. We truly are so thankful to be surrounded by you and can’t wait to create so many more memories together!

At first I was a little hesitant to even try and ask Kelsey out on our first date because of how beautiful she is I figured she wouldn’t have any interest in dating me. Obviously she surprised me wanting to go out with me.

We went on a Top Golf date even though she said she was horrible at golf, she still went because I enjoy it! We were both awkward looking back on it, but I just couldn’t get over how beautiful she is and her smile.

I always joked about her being my Christmas present with a little red bow on her head!

My feelings grew fast for her and she was very hesitant until after Christmas she finally told me she loved me back. That was the best gift she could have ever given me.

I love her with my whole heart and I promise to treasure her forever. She’s shown me what life’s worth living for. I can’t wait to marry you Kelsey I can’t believe I have to wait til May…I want you at the altar with me now!

Kelsey and Chase's love story through my eyes...

I will never forget the moment when Brooke brought up the idea of setting our siblings up. My exact words to her were “I don’t know Brooke, Kelsey is a lot”, while Brooke also said “Well, I’m a lot and Chase grew up with me, so he can handle it.” After that, I brought up the idea to Kelsey that Brooke said we should set them up. I guess Kelsey needed a little extra nudging from Ashley and Brooke too for her to go on a date with Chase. I knew from the moment that Kelsey and Chase met that they would marry each other (big sis knows a little bit)! Kelsey needed someone like Chase alongside her for the rest of her life. Chase has the kindest heart and would do anything for anyone. Chase is her calm through anything she faces. Her biggest cheerleader. He’s her voice of reason. When I see them together, they just beam the love that they have for each other. I couldn’t be more blessed to be gaining a brother that is as special as Chase is.

The Lord has been working for these paths to cross at the perfect moment! Chase and Kelsey are truly a testimony of the Lords faithfulness. For many years, I have prayed that my Bubba would find a sweet, kind, God-fearing woman! A woman who makes him better, who dresses him like cowboy Ken (finally he’s got some fashion), who makes him walk with his shoulders up and for him to know just how special he truly is! Kelsey has checked every box a sister could ever dream for her brother to have! Watching these babies of our families find each other and find out what LOVE means has been such a blessing. I’m so grateful to be apart of this amazing moment in their lives and I’m extra blessed with a spunky red headed sister to love!
